Original Magazine cover 1 (draft)

I have decided against using this as my official magazine cover. This is because I believe that the mise-en-scene within the photograph does not match my music style (alternative). Also due to the fact that I felt the font for 'Camellia' wasn't really as appealing as it could have been. Despite the fact that both members of the duo (Camellia) star on the front cover, I had been suggested to try two covers-one featuring 'Hallie Stoker' (pictured to the right) and Dylan Heikki (pictured to the left). This was to see who'd fit the front cover of my alternative magazine more appropriately and I do believe it was more successful as a cover. Another thing about this cover, is that the white against 'Hallie Stokers' top blends in and makes it difficult to see the band names. It is also my opinion that  I could have chose a more fitting photograph to feature on the front page of my magazine as both 'Hallie' and 'Dylan' seem to look quite individual on this photo.

Audience feedback from student Stephanie Colderick aged 17 Draft-Double Page Spread I really like the images used within the double page spread and feel the styling of the two models works really well to make them look like an effective and genuine duo. The main image on the right hand side of the page is effective and I like how this takes up the whole page, however I feel that the guitar especially the colour of the guitar is very different to the theme of the double page spread.   The use of the light blue colour is effective in adding to the sleek black and white colour scheme and I feel to improve slightly you could possibly use this colour more especially throughout the rest of the page.  Your clear margins and guidelines really give the page a professional look and feel which is enhanced by the good quality photos. Christophe Brunnquell Brunnquell is a French Art Director and Artist. He began working as an art director for Encore Magazine and soon afterwards he was hired Olivier Zahm and Elein Fleiss for Purple Magazine. Although the popularity of Purple Magzine helped him a great deal, he was then soon involved working with others such as  Louis Vuitton. Working alongside Purple Magazine allowed Brunnquell to experiment things as the company gave him a lot of freedom, this resulted in the changing of the magazines format, paper and layout.
