Contents (final)



Here is an image of my final contents page idea. I decided to choose this idea because I believed the colour scheme of the page was more fitting; its simplistic and all the information needed is accessible; I also decided to add a small image of the front cover to this page to illustrate the 'physical copy'. Despite the fact that the changes I made aren't very drastic, I believe this contents page comes across as more sophisticated-possibly due to its black and white colour scheme.

Audience feedback from student Stephanie Colderick aged 17 Draft-Double Page Spread I really like the images used within the double page spread and feel the styling of the two models works really well to make them look like an effective and genuine duo. The main image on the right hand side of the page is effective and I like how this takes up the whole page, however I feel that the guitar especially the colour of the guitar is very different to the theme of the double page spread.   The use of the light blue colour is effective in adding to the sleek black and white colour scheme and I feel to improve slightly you could possibly use this colour more especially throughout the rest of the page.  Your clear margins and guidelines really give the page a professional look and feel which is enhanced by the good quality photos. Magazine Creators

Christophe Brunnquell Brunnquell is a French Art Director and Artist. He began working as an art director for Encore Magazine and soon afterwards he was hired Olivier Zahm and Elein Fleiss for Purple Magazine. Although the popularity of Purple Magzine helped him a great deal, he was then soon involved working with others such as  Louis Vuitton. Working alongside Purple Magazine allowed Brunnquell to experiment things as the company gave him a lot of freedom, this resulted in the changing of the magazines format, paper and layout. As you can see his studio is based in Waddington and he gains much interest here for his work: Gento Matsumoto What catches many people's attention in Matsumoto's creations is his background in magazine design. Audience response about drafts

Drafts   Cover   I like this cover page as all of the colours work together really well. However, the image is very faded and I don’t feel suits the rest of your magazine so it may be worth considering swapping your image. I am also finding a few of the artist names hard to read as they are written in white over a partly white top so it may be worth changing the text colour or moving the text if you decide to not change your image. The magazine name is good and thought out and I can see the link with music which will encourage the readers to buy the magazine. Other than that, I like the layout of this cover page and with a few adjustments will be really eye catching for your target audience.     Contents   I really like the colour scheme for your contents page as it is very different to what is typically seen on a music magazine so it will stand out.
